The Beat
A poem
By Daigneault
Unspoken words
take wings tonight
Aromas dance
and rise
Piercing tones
reveal true heart
The brush carves
wood, cuts ice
Colors mixed find
notes not seen
Gracious hands
yield truth
Spade finds
earth, desire and flesh
The supple
muse of youth
And in the sky
beneath the waves
The beat,
the grain,
the stone
Unspoken words
take flight tonight
From gods these
gifts, on loan
